Toronto police have arrested a third 15-year-old girl in the videotaped beating of a woman on a downtown sidewalk last weekend.

Police spokesman Const. Tony Vella said the third suspect turned herself in to police at 51 Division headquarters Thursday morning.

Like the other two suspects, the girl is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm.

She is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

The other two suspects were remanded into custody after they made brief court appearances Wednesday.

Investigators are also looking for the person who recorded video of the attack.

Police said the 35-year-old victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the attack, which occurred late Saturday or early Sunday on Yonge Street, south of Dundas Street.

The woman and the suspects traded insults before she was swarmed, knocked to the ground, repeatedly punched and kicked, and spat on.

The incident has attracted worldwide attention because someone who was with the suspects recorded it on a video camera.

Police began investigating the incident Monday after the three-minute clip was posted on the Internet.

Before the attack began, the victim told her assailants she was pregnant, but police said the woman isn't pregnant.
