Toronto police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a string of brazen daylight muggings.

Police allege the suspect committed a total of 12 street level robberies on April 13 and April 20.

Most of the robberies targeted women and took place in the area of Bloor and Clinton streets in the early morning hours.

Yama Mokhtarzada has been charged with a total of 57 robbery and firearm related offences.

Police are still looking for a second male suspect, who may have driven the vehicle Mokhtarzada was travelling in.

He is described as being of Middle Eastern descent and between the ages of 20 and 25.
