TORONTO - Baby Kaylee Vitelli is being rushed back to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children today for treatment.

The public relations firm speaking on behalf of the family says the infant girl is suffering from an infection and fever.

The infant girl was discharged from the hospital May 14 after weeks of care for a rare brain condition called Joubert syndrome, and a failed attempt at heart transplant surgery.

Doctors had originally predicted three-month-old Kaylee didn't have long to live, and her parents hoped to donate her heart to another ailing infant.

But Kaylee defied the odds by continuing to breathe, and doctors said a transplant was no longer an option.

Her parents have previously complained about the treatment they received at the world-renowned hospital.
