OTTAWA - Prime Minister Stephen Harper heads to Europe today and separate meetings with British and French leaders.
Harper will meet newly-elected British P-M David Cameron in London on Thursday, then with French president Nicolas Sarkozy on Friday.
Harper is expected to use the meetings to discuss his crusade against a bank tax.
Some of Harper's cabinet ministers have travelled around the world recently to campaign against such a tax.
The prime minister has repeatedly used the issue to draw attention to the relative strength of Canada's economy and to the stability of this country's banking sector.
He will also likely use his meetings with Cameron and Sarkozy to discuss other economic issues ahead of G8 and G20 summits that Canada will host later this month.
