TORONTO - A Montreal activist challenging his bail conditions after being charged in the aftermath of Toronto's G20 protests had his case put over today.

Jaggi Singh is asking that all his bail conditions be rescinded, including a ban on demonstrating.

Singh faces charges of conspiracy to commit mischief and conspiracy to assault and obstruct police.

There is a publication ban on the reasons why the case was put over today until Nov. 30.

Outside court, Singh said his bail conditions include no contact with his co-accused, not being allowed to leave the Montreal home of his sureties without a note, and not being allowed to possess a passport or cellphone.

Singh is a community organizer with the Anti-Capitalist Convergence as well as No One Is Illegal-Montreal.

His bail conditions also include a ban on participating, organizing or attending "any public demonstration."

Other G20 conspiracy defendants face restrictive curfews and house arrest.

A co-accused, Alex Hundert, was re-arrested after speaking at a university panel and is still in custody.
