A construction worker is receiving medical care for serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle early Monday morning.
Toronto police said the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Bayview Avenue at McKee Avenue, just south of Finch Avenue, at about 12:30 a.m.
A northbound vehicle hit the construction workers and a road maintenance vehicle.
Police said the construction crew had placed cones on the road and had "visible lighting" on its vehicle to alert oncoming motorists.
Four people who were in the vehicle were also transported to hospital.
Bayview Avenue has reopened.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. No charges have been laid.
