BARRIE - Highway 400 has reopened after two men were killed in a tractor-trailer crash north of Barrie, Ont.

Provincial police say two men were standing at the side of the road as a broken-down tractor-trailer was being hooked up to a tow truck at about 6 a.m.

They were struck dead by a passing truck.

Police say the men, who were not from Ontario, were occupants of the disabled rig.

Police are not releasing the men's names until their families have been notified.

The highway was shut down between Mount St. Louis Road and Moonstone Road until just before 4 p.m.
