Toronto police are investigating after a fire broke out during a break-in at a jewelry store near Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West late Sunday night.
Police said the suspects entered R&R Jewellery by cutting a hole in the roof shortly before midnight.
Investigators don't believe anything was stolen during the rooftop break-in.
Reports from the scene indicate the fire may have started after the suspects attempted to cut open a vault. Firefighters discovered the break-in as they battled the blaze.
It's believed the blaze and the method of entry caused extensive damage to the building.
No one has been charged.
