Mayor Rob Ford will not be stepping on the scale Monday for what's turned into a semi-regular public weigh-in.

Ford spokesman George Christopoulos said the weigh-in will take place before Tuesday's city council meeting instead of Monday, the day it is usually held.

In recent weeks, however, Ford has cancelled some Monday weigh-ins.

Ford last weighed in April 30 at 310 pounds, his first weigh-in in two weeks.

The mayor has lost 22 pounds in his Cut the Waist weight-loss campaign, which he launched with his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, in mid-January. At the start of the campaign, the Fords said they would step on the scale in front of reporters every week at city hall.

Rob Ford is trying to shed 50 pounds before the six-month campaign ends. His weight has been steady near 310 pounds since February.

Doug Ford began the weight-loss crusade at 275 pounds and has shed 27 pounds.

The Ford brothers are losing weight to promote healthy living and raise money for local charities. They continue to collect pledges on the campaign's website.
