Legal action is growing over the Sunrise Propane explosion in Downsview with four class-action lawsuits now filed in the case seeking $900 million in damages.

The lawsuits are being launched on behalf of business owners and residents affected by the disaster.

Defendants named in the suits include the company -- Sunrise Propane, the City of Toronto, the province of Ontario and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.

Regulators have revealed they issued "cease and desist" orders against Sunrise Propane in 2006 for violations of the propane code including a hose hanging from a truck, and truck-to-truck transfers.

Meanwhile, autopsy results have still not been released on the bodies of two people who died at the scene -- veteran firefighter Bob Leek, and an unidentified man who may be a missing Sunrise Propane worker Parmindar Saini.

Investigators were not able to access the site until Monday where the remains of the unidentified man were discovered. The coroner says another challenge will be notifying family.

Premier Dalton McGuinty has offered his condolences to the families of the two people killed.

Yesterday afternoon's startling outburst from local councillor Maria Augimeri flared tempers at a news conference near the site of the blast.  Hours after returning from an overseas holiday, Augimeri blew up at a constituent.

"If people have problems of a partisan nature, they should not use the death of a firefighter or anything associated with a disaster to deal with it... so shut up!" she said, shouting at a local resident in full view of several television cameras.

In the meantime, the clean-up continues as neighbourhood residents worry about exposure to asbestos.

Crews are working to remove what is thought to be a layer of the cancer-causing substance that covers the area.

Many people who live near the site of Sunday's explosion are wondering if it is safe for them to be back there, and for their children to be playing outside.
