GO Transit says its trains on the Lakeshore line are running on schedule after it reported numerous delays and a few cancellations this morning because of signal problems caused by the cold weather.

Trains heading into Toronto along the Lakeshore East and West line were delayed by as much as 40 minutes.

One train, which was due to leave Pickering at 7:22 a.m., was cancelled and all trains originating in Oshawa were delayed.

One train on the Lakeshore West line --- from Union Station to Burlington -- was cancelled while trains on other routes were delayed.

Signal problems were also blamed for delays on the Stouffville line.
