Hundreds gathered at a funeral for seven-year-old Katelynn Sampson who was found dead in a Parkdale apartment more than a week ago.
Family, friends and well wishers turned out this afternoon to say good-bye to the little girl at the Parkdale Presbyterian Church on Dunn Avenue.
At the visitation yesterday, many sobbed openly on the sidewalk outside -- disturbed by the sight of the girl lying in a casket who had been so bubbly in life.
Katelynn's legal guardian Donna Irving and Irving's live-in boyfriend Warren Johnson have both been charged with second-degree murder in her death.
Autopsy results on how the girl died have still not been released by police.
