Lanes have reopened on the southbound ramp from Highway 427 to the eastbound Gardiner Expressway on Monday afternoon after a tractor trailer rollover early this morning.

Police closed the highway just after 4:30 a.m. when a truck carrying a load of pigs flipped over. Emergency Medical Services says the driver is not seriously injured.

The OPP's Graham Williamson says the driver is facing careless driving charges and crews are focusing on reopening the highway.

"The big job right now is to clean up the area," he says.

About three hours after the crash, some pigs were still trapped in the truck while others were wandering the ramp. Officials did not say how many pigs were involved in the crash.
