TORONTO - The Layton family has a new addition today, as the late Jack Layton's daughter gave birth to a girl this morning.
Solace Huxley Layton Campbell was born Thursday at 2:15 a.m. in Toronto.
Sarah Layton, the daughter of former NDP Leader Jack Layton, who died in August, gave birth to the healthy baby girl who weighs in at 9.4 pounds.
Jack Layton's widow, NDP MP Olivia Chow, says both mom and baby are doing well.
Solace is the second baby for Sarah Layton and her husband Hugh Campbell.
