Police in Surrey are still searching for a suspect in a brutal sexual assault that occurred last Friday.

On Wednesday morning, 40 officers canvassed the neighbourhood near 139th Street and 62nd, where the six-year-old girl was assaulted.

She was walking home with her 12 year-old brother and his 15-year-old friend, when they were confronted by a man with a knife.

He ordered them into the woods, and sexually assaulted the girl. The officers were planning to be out talking to people in the neighbourhood again on Wednesday night.

They are asking for help in locating an Asian woman that the 15-year-old claims he saw minutes before the attack.
