A man accused of throwing rocks at moving vehicles in Niagara Region last year is facing additional charges in connection with a similar incident last month.
Ontario Provincial Police said it happened on Sept. 18 on Highway 406 at Glendale Avenue in St. Catharines.
As a result, they arrested 49-year-old Ammar Al-Zubaidi of St. Catharines earlier this week.
He has been charged with two counts of mischief endangering life and one count of breach of recognizance.

Al-Zubaidi was previously charged last year, as he was believed to be behind multiple incidents of rocks being thrown at moving vehicles on the side road or from overpasses between June and August 2025.
They occurred on Highway 406 between Westchester and Fourth Avenues in St. Catharines, the QEW near Mountain Road in Niagara Falls, and Highway 58 near Pine Street in Thorold.
Police laid nine counts of mischief endangering life against Al-Zubaidi.
