The QEW is closed in both directions in Niagara Falls following a fatal three-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police say it happened between Thorold Stone and Mountain Road.
“At least one fatality, other people being transported to the hospital at this time,” OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said in a video posted on social media.
He said one of the vehicles involved is a tractor-trailer.
Schmidt warned of “extensive delays” as he expects the closure to be in place all afternoon and into the evening.
