19-year-old man charged in Brampton double shooting

19-year-old Naesean Okoko has been arrested in the double shooting that happened Monday morning in Brampton.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Brampton on Monday that left two people seriously injured.

Peel police said the shooting occurred in the area of Central Park Drive and Glenvale Boulevard shortly before noon.

When officers arrived, they located a 21-year-old man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and a 25-year-old man in life-threatening condition.

Police said both victims were taken to the hospital, where they are now recovering.

Meanwhile, the suspect, identified as 19-year-old Naesean Okoko, was arrested a few minutes after police arrived.

In a news release on Tuesday, they said Okoko was charged with attempted murder using a firearm, aggravated assault, possession of opioid and six firearm-related offences.
