Peel police have identified a suspect who is wanted in connection with an Aug. 1 stabbing in Mississauga that left on person with serious injuries.
The incident happened near Dixie Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
Peel Regional Police said at around 1:40 a.m. on Saturday they attended a commercial unit near Dixie Road and Aimoco Blvd for a stabbing.
“Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was rushed to a local trauma centre and is currently in stable condition,” they said in a news release.
Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) are now searching for 34-year-old Gregory Darling, of Brampton, in connection with this investigation.
He is described as a Black male with cornrows, who stands five-foot-11 and has a Caribbean accent.
Darling was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with red stripes and black shoes.
Police previously said that he was seen leaving the area in a dark-coloured minivan.
They say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and are advising members of the public to not to approach him but instead call 911 immediately if he is seen.
Investigators, meanwhile, are urging Darling to “seek legal counsel and surrender to police.”
