Suspect in Scarborough double shooting identified as 14-year-old boy

Toronto police are on the scene of a shooting in Scarborough on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025.

A 14-year-old boy is wanted in connection with a shooting in Scarborough that left two men seriously injured on Sunday afternoon.

Toronto police said the boy attended a residence near Danforth Road and Eglinton Avenue East and allegedly discharged his firearm, striking a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old man.

Shortly after, the boy fled. When officers arrived, they located the two victims and paramedics transported them to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The 14-year-old is wanted for 11 charges, including two counts of attempted murder, two counts of discharging a firearm with intent and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.
