Westbound Gardiner near Park Lawn Road fully reopened after watermain break

Published:

Crews remain on scene of a water main break that has closed a westbound lane of the Gardiner Expressway.

The westbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway near Park Lawn Road have fully reopened after a watermain break caused flooding earlier this week.

The flooding snarled rush hour traffic on Monday morning.

According to the city, the watermain break was caused by a leak in one of the original connection joints.

One westbound lane near Park Lawn Road and the ramp from Park Lawn to the westbound Gardiner were closed while crews fixed the leak.

The city confirmed on Thursday that the closures had been lifted.
