Toronto police have laid an additional 58 charges against a 40-year-old man in connection with a series of commercial break-and-enters in Scarborough.
The suspect was initially charged with 89 offences last week for the incidents that targeted businesses in the area of Victoria Park Avenue and Ellesmere Road, and Victoria Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East.
The alleged break-ins happened between November 2025 and April 2026.
Police said a suspect allegedly smashed doors and windows to gain entry and once inside, he ransacked the premises.
Cash registers and other valuables were targeted, police said.
In an update on Tuesday, police said Derek Bailey of Toronto is also now charged with 16 counts of theft not exceeding $5,000/shoplifting, 16 counts of possession of property or thing obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000 and 26 counts of having face masked or disguised.
In total, Bailey is facing a total of 147 charges.
