An 82-year-old woman has died in hospital after being struck by an SUV in Scarborough.
Police gave the update in a news release on Saturday morning.
The woman was crossing the road at the intersection of Bridletowne Circle and Finch Avenue East shortly after 6 a.m. on Friday when she was struck by a white Toyota RAV4, police said.
She sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where, police said, she died on Friday night.
It is the city’s 33rd fatal collision of the year.
The driver of the SUV, a 49-year-old woman, remained at the scene, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
