A Toronto man has been arrested in connection with several alleged break-ins in the city’s Weston area between August and September.

According to police, the suspect broke into a garage on Aug. 26 and stole two dirt bikes. Police allege he returned to the same address on Sept. 4 and broke into a vehicle parked in the driveway.

On Sept. 19, police allege the same suspect broke into another residence while the occupants were home and stole credit cards and jewelry before fleeing.

Police allege the suspect then broke into another vehicle at a separate location and stole personal items. He later went to a store, where he made multiple purchases and withdrawals allegedly using a stolen bank card.

Later that day, officers arrested Austin MacDonald, 34, of Toronto.

Police also executed a search warrant at a location associated with MacDonald and seized several items.

MacDonald faces 16 charges, including two counts of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, three counts of theft over $5,000, two counts of possessing or using a credit card obtained by an offence, one count of attempted break and enter, and eight counts of breach of probation.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
