Toronto police have released images of two people accused of stealing an elderly victim’s gold jewelry during a distraction theft in North York.
Police said the incident happened on May 29 in the area of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.
A female suspect seated in the backseat of a white car waved the victim over to her vehicle, police said.
When the victim came, the suspect allegedly placed fake jewelry around the victim’s neck before removing their gold necklace and charm.
Police said she and a male suspect driving the car then fled.
