Here is a list of what is open and closed in Toronto on Thanksgiving Monday 2026.

What GTA attractions are open and closed on Thanksgiving Monday?

  • Toronto Zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • The Art Gallery of Ontario is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Ripley’s Aquarium is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • The Royal Ontario Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • The CN Tower is open from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Canada’s Wonderland will be open on Thanksgiving Monday for the first time in the park’s history. Hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What stores are open and closed?

Groceries

Most grocery stores will be closed, with the exception of a few that will remain open, including:

  • Select Farm Boy locations, including 100 Queens Quay E., which will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Metro - College Park is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Alcohol

All LCBO locations is closed.

Convenience stores licensed to sell alcohol will be permitted to do so on Thanksgiving Monday.

GTA Malls

  • The Eaton Centre is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • The Well is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Pacific Mall is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Markville Mall is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Square One Shopping Centre is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Vaughan Mills is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The following malls are closed on Thanksgiving Monday

  • Dufferin Mall
  • Fairview Mall
  • Scarborough Town Centre
  • Sherway Gardens
  • Yorkdale Mall

What else will be closed on Thanksgiving Monday?

  • Toronto Public Library branches will not be open on Sunday or Monday.
  • Banks and government offices will be closed on Monday.
