Bryan Adams releases new song slamming Trump, Lake Ontario name change

Grammy-award-winning singer Bryan Adams released a new politically charged single called Lake Ontario just days before the U.S. midterms.

Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams has released a new track taking aim at Donald Trump and his choice to change the name of a great lake.

The single, “Lake Ontario,” was released as part of the musician’s new album How’s It Goin.’

In the song, Adams slams Trump’s executive order to change the name to Lake America, ignoring the fact that the lake was called Ontario based on a first nation’s name.

“But things weren’t going his way in Iran, so like a baby tossing the toys from the pram. He may have thought it best to throw a low blow and create a real dog and pony show,” Adams sings.

“But it feels like another distraction. While the Epstein files were getting traction. One day they’ll come out and we’ll say ‘there you go.’ And then we’ll all dive into Lake Ontario.”

Trumps decision to change the name of the lake came after a war of words with Ontario Premier Doug Ford.

Canadian officials have not recognized the name change, with Prime Minister Mark Carney previously pointing out that the Lake Ontario name predates both Canada and the United States.

Adams is currently performing a series of shows in Las Vegas before taking his tour to Europe next month.
