Toronto police are investigating the death of the city's 11th homicide victim of 2009, after a man's body was found in a metal shop that he owned.
Police were called to an industrial property at Norfinch Drive, in the city's northern reaches, for a reported medical emergency on Thursday.
Inside the shop, officers found a man suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Toronto resident Rajeswaren Saravanamuthu, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The post-mortem examination has revealed that the man died of multiple stab wounds and a blunt force injury to the head.
Anyone that went to Tiga Metals Inc., at 147 Norfinch Drive, or had contact with Saravanamuthu on Thursday is asked to contact police at 416-808-7400, or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
