Toronto police are investigating the death of the city's 11th  homicide victim of 2009, after a man's body was found in a metal shop that he owned.

Police were called to an industrial property at Norfinch Drive, in the city's northern reaches, for a reported medical emergency on Thursday.  

Inside the shop, officers found a man suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Toronto resident Rajeswaren Saravanamuthu, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The post-mortem examination has revealed that the man died of multiple stab wounds and a blunt force injury to the head.
