A man in his 20s was being treated in hospital for burns and smoke inhalation following an early-morning fire in Markham on Monday.
Fire crews were dispatched to a townhouse on Greensborough Village Circle, near Ninth Line and 16th Avenue, when someone called 911 at about 3:50 a.m.
The man suffered burns to his hands.
The fire's cause is under investigation.
A damage estimate wasn't available.
