Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion will face a judicial review for a possible conflict of interest case involving a deal brokered by her son.

At issue is a $14.5 million land deal being brokered by McCallion's son Peter. He owns the company World Class Developments Ltd.

Minutes from the council meeting in May 2008 say the Mayor declared a potential conflict, but that's not backed-up by videotape from the meeting, the Toronto Star reports.

The council voted for a judicial review on the matter on Wednesday.

An investigation by a city clerk shows that McCallion didn’t declare a conflict of interest, according to the newspaper.
