On Friday, the jury watched a video taped police interview with the 17-year-old girl accused in the Stefanie Rengel murder trial.

In the video, the accused tells detectives she was only joking when she told her boyfriend she wanted Rengel dead.

The accused also told police she was angry at Rengel for spreading rumours about her at school. She claims Rengel had been calling her boyfriend.

The girl -- known as M.T. -- is accused of "counselling or encouraging" homicide. She has pleaded not guilty. The girl's former boyfriend will stand trial this fall.

Rengel -- the 14-year-old daughter of two Toronto police officers -- died in the snowbank just metres from her home on New Year's Day in 2008. She had been stabbed six times.
