City councillors are still spending money from their office expense accounts as the clock winds down on their terms before the fall election, the Toronto Sun reports.

Some examples of spending at city hall include councillor Adam Giambrone spending $2,995 on French lessons, deputy mayor Joe Pantalone spending $1,995 on his constituency website and Kyle Rae spending $12,706 on a farewell party at the Rosewater Supper Club.

Councillor and mayoral candidate Rob Ford had no expenses and reimbursed the city $65 for office supplies.

Councillor Sandra Bussin topped the list of spenders, with her office shelling out over $29,000 of her $46,241.25 office budget.
