TORONTO - A little song-and-dance has been added to the wheeling-and-dealing of the upcoming Banff World Television Festival.

Ian Brennan, co-creator and writer of the hit musical comedy "Glee," has been added to the lineup of speakers.

He joins a list of industry heavyweights including comedian Ricky Gervais, TV mogul and "So You Think You Can Dance" judge Nigel Lythgoe, actor William Shatner and the masterminds behind "Dexter," "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Good Wife."

Festival organizers say Brennan will discuss the meteoric rise of "Glee," a show that was inspired by his high-school show choir experience.

The Banff World Television Festival, considered one of the biggest television forums, runs June 13 to 16 at the Banff Springs Hotel.

This year it will run concurrently with nextMEDIA Banff, combining television and digital media communities in a cross-platform event.
