BROCKVILLE, Ont. - Premier Dalton McGuinty says provincial politicians will be heading back to work next Tuesday as scheduled.

But he will prorogue the legislative session briefly before starting a new one after the Vancouver Olympics with a speech from throne.

He says he must shut down the Ontario legislature briefly by law in order to start the new session.

He says the throne speech, which lays out the government's priorities, will include early learning and pension reform.
