There is still no motive in the cold-blooded daylight murder of a 14-year-old boy in Brampton.

Ravi Dharamdial was walking home from school near Airport Road and Sandalwood Parkway Tuesday afternoon when he was stabbed to death.

Friends say two teens were spotted following him. But his parents say their son had $90 in his wallet and was wearing expensive shoes -- none of which was taken.

Relatives and friends say he was a good kid and never got into trouble. Students are using an online memorial on Facebook to express their grief and shock over the teen's sudden death.

Ravi's murder is the region's 24th homicide.

Peel police are meeting with regional officials Thursday to discuss the increase in violet crimes.

Anyone with information should contact Peel Crime Stoppers on 1-800-222-TIPS.
