OTTAWA - People with milk allergies are being warned to avoid certain Red Square brand Real Deal Energy Cookies because they contain milk which is not declared on the label.
The affected product is sold in a 650 gram, eight bar package bearing UPC 7-75461-76104-2 and one of the following lot codes: 35520.11 or 36120.11.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says the product has been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
There has been one reported allergic reaction associated with eating this product.
The CFIA says consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
