The 26-year-old woman who was hit by lightning along with her young son and another boy has been released from a Brampton hospital.
The mother, Dulce Caines, is now at Sick Kids hospital where she is visiting her five-year-old son, Kyus Caines. He is in critical condition after he bore the brunt of the lightning bolt.
A spokeswoman for the Hospital for Sick Children says the condition of Kyus' three-year-old playmate -- who was also hit -- has been upgraded from serious to good.
All three were struck by lightning that came seemingly out of nowhere in a Brampton park on Wednesday.
Kyus' father Oral Caines says his son is in critical condition.
The boy's grandmother says Kyus was holding a metal scooter over his shoulder at the time of the strike.
