A man has been arrested after a woman and a teenage girl were sexually assaulted in Brampton on Monday.

Police say the first incident occurred when a 20-year-old woman was shopping at Bramalea City Centre, near Dixie Road and Clark Boulevard. Police allege the suspect approached the woman and sexually assaulted her.

Later that day, police allege the same suspect approached an underage female victim who was waiting for a bus.

The suspect then engaged the girl in conversation and sat beside her on a bench, police said.

“When the victim attempted to leave, the suspect allegedly grabbed her breast and then grabbed her buttocks from behind,” police allege.

The victim fled the area and contacted police.

Police say investigators identified the suspect after a member of the public contacted police when they saw the previous news release.

Police then arrested Olusegun Onidare, 33, of no fixed address.

He has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count of breach of a probation order.

The allegations have not been tested in court.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
