Spotify’s long-awaited annual “Wrapped” campaign has arrived, and the streaming service is revealing the listening habits of Torontonians and others across the Greater Toronto Area.
According to the audio streaming platform, Toronto’s own Drake was the most listened to artist across the city in 2025, taking the top spot back from Taylor Swift after she dethroned him in 2024.
Drake also came out on top as the most-listened to artist across Canada as a whole, and ranked fourth when it came to global listening habits.
Toronto’s top artists
Rounding out the top five for Toronto was Taylor Swift, fellow Torontonian The Weeknd, country artist Morgan Wallen, and noted Drake rival, Kendrick Lamar. Toronto-born Drake collaborator PARTYNEXTDOOR (PND) took the number 10 spot in the city.
Top artists for 2025 did not vary much across the GTA. Drake snagged the top spot in Scarborough, North York, Brampton, and Mississauga, while Swift, The Weeknd, and Wallen all made up the top four in different orders, though Scarborough was the only city where Wallen didn’t even crack the top 10.
Travis Scott, SZA, and PND rounded out the top five in various GTA cities.

Toronto’s top albums
Torontonians didn’t shift their listening habits much when it came to what albums they listened to in 2025, mostly mirroring the top artists of the year.
“I’m The Problem” by Morgan Wallen came in at number one, followed by Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U,” SZA’s “SOS Deluxe: LANA,” the KPop Demon Hunters’ soundtrack from the Netflix show of the same name, and The Weeknd’s “Hurry Up Tomorrow” to make up Toronto’s top five.

Toronto’s top songs
When it came to the top songs of the year in Toronto, BTS member Jimin’s solo song “Who” claimed the number one spot, after previously coming in second in 2024.
Drake’s “NOKIA” ranked in second place, and Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “luther” took third. Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” and Lady Gaga and Bruno Mar’s “Die With A Smile” rounded out the top five list for 2025.
