Ontario Provincial Police say they have recovered the body of a female kayaker who went missing on the Credit River Sunday afternoon.
Police were called in after two empty kayaks were found stuck in the ice in the middle of the river in the Terra Cotta Conservation Area at around 2:50 p.m.
The female kayaker’s body was discovered later in the afternoon and she was declared dead at the scene.
A search is currently underway for a second missing kayaker, a male.
