The highest number of Canadians searched Google for information about new Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at almost the precise minute he was reciting his oaths in Rideau Hall on Wednesday morning, trends data from the company show.

At 10:48 a.m. Eastern, searches for Justin Trudeau surged, hitting 100 on the Google Trends index  and notching almost ten times higher than the number of searches Canadians logged on the day he won the Liberal Party’s leadership  race on April 14, 2013.

The number of searches was highest in Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and the Northwest Territories.

Among Trudeau’s 30-member cabinet, the top-searched ministers on Wednesday were Nunavut MP Hunter Tootoo, named as Canada’s minister for Fisheries, Oceans and the Coast Guard, Calgary Centre MP Kent Hehr, named Veterans Affairs minister, Toronto Centre MP Bill Morneau, who was named Finance minister, Vancouver Granville MP Jody Wilson-Raybould, who was named Justice minister, and Kings-Hants MP Scott Brison, who was named president of the Treasury Board.
