We all scream for ice cream and today some might just shed a tear for it too.
An ice cream truck travelling in the eastbound collector lanes of Hwy. 401 burst into flames near Markham Road at around 1 p.m., resulting in the destruction of both the truck and the ice cold treats inside.
Several lanes were closed as emergency crews battled the blaze, however the highway has since reopened.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, nobody was injured as a result but the contents of the truck have all melted.
