Lawyers for the two men accused of murdering Ancaster resident Tim Bosma are expected to firm up a trial date at a Hamilton court today.

Dellen Millard and Mark Smich are accused of killing Bosma, whose burned remains were found on Millard’s family farm in Waterloo a week after the 32-year-old disappeared.

Bosma, a husband and father of a toddler, vanished in May 2013 after he took two men out to test drive a pickup truck he had put up for sale online.

Both Smich and Millard have also been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Millard’s ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Laura Babcock, who went missing in June 2012.

A tentative trial date for the pair was previously set for the fall of 2015.

Millard also stands accused of killing his own father Wayne Millard, who died in December 2012. That death had originally been ruled a suicide.
