A male suspect is being sought after a 15-year-old boy reported being sexually assaulted at the CNE this week.

The boy told Toronto police that the sexual assault occurred in a washroom inside the Direct Energy Centre, located on the grounds of Exhibition Place, on Tuesday at about 1:30 p.m.

In a news release, police said the boy was approached by a man who struck up a brief conversation before the sexual assault.

The male fled and has not been arrested.

Police said the male is Asian, 50 to 60 years old, five-foot-five with a thin build and thinning, short black hair.

He was wearing a white, collared dress shirt that was unbuttoned and a white tank top underneath.

Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 416-808-1405 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
