A man who stood on the edge of a Toronto subway platform Monday afternoon was clipped by a train as it rushed into the station.

The man suffered a life-threatening head injury.

Police believe he may have been urinating onto the tracks at Osgoode Station at the time he was struck.

Subway service was disrupted between Union and St. George stations for about 30 minutes while emergency crews attended the scene.

The victim is believed to be a 61-year-old Toronto resident.
