In a news release issued on Friday night, Peel Police Chief Jennifer Evans said the prognosis for Klarenbeek is good.

In a statement released Saturday afternoon, Klarenbeek’s wife Lynn, thanked all those who have supported the officer’s family.

“We would like to start by saying thank you to everyone who has been so great through this difficult time,” she said in the statement. “From the paramedics, to the hospital staff, Peel Police, the courthouse staff and the general public.”
