A stretch of Queen Street West is still closed to traffic after a fire destroyed a commercial building early Tuesday morning.

Queen is closed between Spadina Avenue and Soho Street as a demolition crew knocks down the building and hauls away the rubble.

Police said the street closure will be re-evaluated Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the three-alarm fire, which destroyed a building that housed a Roots store, tattoo parlour and hair salon.

The Office of the Fire Marshal confirmed an explosion occurred, but investigators don’t know if the explosion occurred before or during the fire.
