A woman is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after she was struck by a taxicab in Scarborough late Sunday night.
Toronto police said the collision occurred on Sheppard Avenue East, west of Birchmount Road, at about 11:20 p.m.
According to police, the 69-year-old woman was walking across Sheppard Avenue from south to north when she was hit by a westbound Chevrolet Impala taxicab, driven by a 62-year-old man.
Police are asking anyone with information to call investigators at 416−808−1900 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477).
