Glass falls from downtown hotel
Police have reopened Adelaide Street at Simcoe Street after a pane of glass fell from a downtown hotel.
The glass fell from the Shangri-La Hotel near University Avenue and Adelaide Street at around 12:10 p.m, smashing onto a sidewalk below.
No injuries have been reported.
Police cruiser involved in crash
The Gardiner Expressway at Highway 427 has reopened after a collision involving a police cruiser.
It happened at around 1 p.m.
Three westbound lanes were originally closed.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are not known.
According to Const. Wendy Drummond, the officer involved has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
