Decommissioned street signs autographed by Mayor Rob Ford pulled in thousands of dollars at a recent City of Toronto auction.

One Yonge Street sign featuring Ford’s John Hancock sold for more than $3,000, City of Toronto spokesperson Bruce Hawkins confirmed.

In total, the city has collected $35,450 from the sign auction, $11,435 of which came from 16 signs autographed by Ford.

One buyer spent $805 for a Bay Street sign bearing Ford’s signature and another forked over $885 for a Queen Street East sign.

Hawkins said the online auction is ongoing and about 20 signs will be made available on a weekly basis by City of Toronto vendor Platinum Liquidations.

The Ford signs, however, were limited edition.

In May, council prohibited the mayor from autographing any more.
